DINEC STS SERIES / STM SERIES / STL SERIES
As rain falls to the earth, it contains some dissolved dust and gases as well as suspended matter, in this states, water is acidic in form. After it has cross over the surface of the ground or seeps through the earth layers, its impurities have greatly increased because the acidic water, as a natural solvent, dissolves some of everything it contacts including Calcium and Magnesium, these are the minerals that causes the problem called "Hardwater" which needs reining or conditioning before it is fit for production or other activities.
Hardwater can cause rock-like scale formations inside water pipes and water-using equipments; reducing the flow of water and causing equipment damage. Furthermore, hardness deposits in water heaters and boilers can reduce energy efficiency, and hence, increase operating cost.
Hardness Removal by DINEC Water Softener
DINEC Water Softeners remove the hardness mineral out of water by ''Ion exchange” 'using a bed of ion exchange resin which covered with Sodium ions. As hard water goes through the bed, the hardness mineral ions (calcium and magnesium) replace the Sodium ion on the beads. Thus, the water is now free from hardness, or called "soft" - (water contains less than 1 grain per gallon hardness mineral.) When the resin bead bas exchanged all of its Sodium ions for hardness ions or exhausted, it is regenerated by passing a brine solution through the bed. The brine washes and flushes the hardness minerals away from the beads and down to the drain. Now the resin bead is in Sodium form and ready to work again.
